Late last week the nominations for the 2014 CMA Awards were announced. ¬†The 48th Annual CMA Awards ceremony will take place on Nov. 5 at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. Once again, for the seventh time in a row, Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will host the awards ceremony.

Miranda Lambert led the pack with the most nominations with nine noms in seven categories, including the big one: Entertainer of the Year.  Lambert has stiff competition in that category from some legends like George Strait and hot acts like Luke Bryan and Keith Urban, and even her own husband, Blake Shelton.

Though Taylor Swift plans to release a pop album in October, she still recieved a CMA nomination for Female Vocalist of the Year, alongside Lambert, Kacey Musgraves, Martina McBride and Carrie Underwood.
