New Found Glory Announces fifth Glamour Kills Tour
One of my favorite punk rock bands of the late 90’s-early 2000’s, New Found Glory, just announced their fifth “Glamour Kills” tour to take place in the U.S. this fall. Joining NFG on tour will be We Are The In Crowd, Candy Hearts, Red City Radio, Better Off and Fireworks. The tour will kick off Oct. 3 in San Diego, CA and will wrap up Nov. 8 in Santa Cruz, CA. Other cities to be visited include Orlando, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Boston, Detroit, NYC, San Francisco and more. Expect the Ft. Lauderdale show to be huge as that is the concert that will be near the band’s hometown of Coral Springs, FL.
This new tour will be in support of New Found Glory’s newest and eighth studio album named, “Resurrection.” This album will drop Oct. 7. They have already released a single from the album named, “Selfless” along with a corresponding music video. (Ummmmm….band’s still make music videos??? Is this a YouTube thing, because MTV sure as heck doesn’t show videos anymore. Furthermore, MTV really needs to update their awards show from the VMA’s to something that is actually applicable now. Ok, I’m done). The last NFG album was released in 2011, titled “Radiosurgery” and it peaked at the top spot on the Billboard Top U.S. Hard Rock Albums Chart. Sticks and Stones is my favorite NFG album released in 2002. Their label at the time, Drive-Thru Records produced a ton of great bands like Something Corporate, Allister, Finch, Dashboard Confessional and a ton of others. In 2008, Drive-Thru went on indefinite hiatus.
