The Tragically Hip Announce Final Canadian Tour

ticketlodge7It’s been a rough week for fans of the Canadian rock band, The Tragically Hip.  Their lead singer, Gord Downie, announced this week that he had been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer.  After 30 years together, thousands of shows and hundreds of tours, the group has announced one last tour in support of their newest album, “Man Machine Poem.”  This is a 10-city Canadian tour that will kick off on July 22 in Victoria, BC and will wrap up Aug. 20 in Kingston, ON.  There will also be stops in Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, London, Toronto, Hamilton and Ottawa.

The Tragically Hip plan to release their newest album, “Man Machine Poem” on June 17 via Universal Music Canada.  Their previous album, “Now for Plan A” was released in 2012 and peaked at #3 in Canada.  The band spent 2015 touring in support of the reissuing on their third album, “Fully Completely.”
