Sam SmithPossibly some really sad news, Sam Smith fans.  As I’m sure you’re aware, Sam Smith has been busting tail and touring and performing tons.  The human body can only take so much, and unfortunately, Smith’s vocal chords cried “Uncle”!  It sounds pretty bad, his vocal chords hemorrhaged during a show in Sydney, Australia.  Ouch.  He said in an official statement, “I have been vocally exhausted for awhile now however last night in Sydney I had a small hemorrhage on my vocal cord.  The doctors have told me I need to fully rest until my vocal cords have healed, otherwise this could become a huge long-term issue. I am so sorry to all who have bought tickets, I truly am.”

As a result, he has canceled the remainder of his Australian tour.  As of this writing, the U.S. tour is still a go.  Keep your fingers crossed, fans!
