Rolling Stones to Possibly Announce U.S. Tours Dates Soon!
The rumor mill is swirling. It is swirling hard. There is much speculation that a legendary rock back is going to announce some tour dates soon. The band is, the one, the only Rolling Stones! It is expected that they will announce a new North American tour with a rumored kick off date in May in San Diego, CA.
While a tour has not been officially announced, all the media outlets are twittering with excitement and even moreso about about the probable re-released of the Stones classic album, “Sticky Fingers.” Their last North American tour was in 2012 for their 50th Anniversary Tour. 50! That’s awesome. After that, they played nearly every continent and major country with their “50 and Counting” and “14 On Fire” tours.
The speculation based on published reports are that the tour will kick off May 24 at Petco Park in San Diego and hit up the cities like Los Angeles, Milwaukee, Indianapolis, Morrison, Buffalo, Pittsburgh, and NYC. There is also potential for Canadian shows and festival appearances.
The Rolling Stones have had a lengthy and well regarded career. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989 and the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2004. Rolling Stone magazine (kind of ironic, huh?) named them the fourth place out of the “100 Greatest Artists of All Time.” It is estimated that they have sold over $250 million in album sales. The Stones have 29 studio albums, 18 live albums and tons of compilations under their belts. Their album which is rumored to be re-released, “Sticky Fingers” was released in 1971 and was the first of eight straight number one studio albums in the U.S.
So, what do you think? Are you excited?
